My Lad races MSA Honda cadet and we really enjoy the racing. The trouble is the 103KG weight limit! My son is quite a big lad and has always been over the weight limit even when he was 9 years old. We are not alone with this problem, and it is getting harder to compete with the racing snakes. We race a 2012 PJ ONE and already have a carbon floor tray,Carbon seat, chain guard and K nuts fitted where possible. I don't really want to buy a new 2016 PJ ONE AIR or BRK chassis just to save a couple of KG's. I would like to know why the MSA can't level the playing field by letting drivers over a certain weight limit remove the 16mm restrictor. I have heard that the weight limit may possibly be increased to 105KGs this coming year, but that wont really help us that much. In other classes they use different sized restrictors and weight limits to create a more level playing field....Why not in Honda cadet? It can't be that hard to work out what weight the restrictor can be removed at! We are too young to move up to Juniors and are going to really struggle this year. Come on MSA level the playing field before its too late and even more drivers stop racing!
