Graham , I am sorry to say but most of what you say is wrong ,, if you built a very low revving engine to that spec you would be no where in the Mod 160 grid , GX200 gaskets are a joke for a start, we up the compression to the point they don't last 5 mins, you need to take off 65 thou off T1 head or 90+ thou off T2's . Standard flywheels and rods would not rev enough as an example some of us rev to 8k , I could go on about carbs and cam but not now ,, I can only speak as I find but as I said the info you have put up will give you a good amount of extra power but not to race against our grid,, to prove the point if you look at the results from the PFi meeting you mention (26th June) you will find that we were quicker than the GX200's in fact in the final I did 1,04:97 which is quicker than the 200 lap record I think... But i have to agree with you on how do RPM sell the 200's that cheep ???!! I was very impressed with how well they went as my engines cost a fair bit more than that !! plus they were a good bunch of lads who are very lucky to be racing at such a fab track ,, so do your engine spec to have some cheep fun but check the results before you say were that slow please, we hope to go back there again in 2017 so on our 2nd visit to PFi we should get down to low 1,04's I would hope ... :)
