Hi Gang, please note the following:
1. As I type (13/2 9.55am) the track is under water by 12 inches. However it was 2ft yesterday and those of you who know the circuit owner won�t be surprise to hear he has just spent over �6000 on pumping equipment (including buying a fire engine!) in order to provide a venue for this weekends events! We are currently pumping @ 1000 gallons per minute and are quietly confident of a successful outcome. Please assume the event is on.
I understand most of you have made �amorous� sacrifices to be here this weekend and that some of you travel a long way to get here. We will make a final decision at 3pm today and if there is any doubt I will call each of you personally - JH
2. Steve Cutting has suggested that the 2008 champs. presentation will now be held AFTER the R1 summer series, firstly as there will be a maximum grid here and thus a fairly noisy affair (you may even get a beer on me???) and secondly to allow a swift exit enabling some of you to salvage part of the evenings �activities� back home.
3. Lastly, PLEASE start thinking about R1 Summer NOW the maximum grid, 34, is expected and I feel we may have to disappoint some teams. Entries will be offered on a �first pay first serve� basis with exception of winter cup entrants who will all have the opportunity to book in this weekend.
