Rear wheels Off. Loosen engine, chain off sprocket. Circlips on each end of axle off Rear hubs off, Key under brake side hub should now come off axle. Loosen sprocket carrier and slide off complete with sprocket and protector if fitted. Loosen brake disc carrier. Undue grub screws in the bearing collars, there are usually 2 on each. Now with a bit of luck and WD40 the axle should slide out FROM THE ENGINE SIDE. You may have to persuade it through the bearings depending on the condition of your axle (the cleaner it is the easier this will be) Be ready to catch your brake disc and carrier as the axle clears it, remove key that was under brake carrier before trying to get it through the engine side bearing!. Re-assemble in reverse. Sounds simples but I know how daunting the first time can be.
