the main advantage of the kelgate is the pads are easy and quick to change, hence the reason H uses it for le man. I also use this brake on an ms for the same reason, plus its a very nice brake with the correct pad in. I also made an adapter for the fixed bracket so you don't need the hassle of the floating bracket.if said mr walsh spent less time getting wasted in our awning and paid more attention then he too could of been in awe of this fine piece of engineering. however if you are using the gold caliper then you must be on the old 4 bearing chassi which is not as straight forward to modify for a fixed kelgate and as has been said is pointless as this gold MS caliper is a bl00dy good brake, the secret is to use red pads, these are softer than the black ones so would only be good for a 6hr, if you were to run a 24hr then the black one's would last it but aren't as good. can i also point out the retaining screws for the pads on the gold MS are drilled for lock wiring. This is a saftey feature and after seeing the affect of these pads 'working loose' and coming out just before a hairpin i would recomend taking the time to do this....
hope this helps
