Howdy,
I've recently started the GX160s on my Pro Kart for the fisrt time since before Christmas.
One of the engines seems to either be running rich or has started to burn oil.
The symptoms are as follows;
* Engine is difficult to start, it 'snatches' the recoil starter (it almost removed my arm a few times!) * The exhaust kicks out a lot of smoke, I can't tell if it's oil or unburned fuel. It seems to be fairly whispy and white. * The idle seems very high (2,500 + I'd guess - it's enough to get the clutch fully engaged when on the trolley)
I'm reasonably new to the engines so I may not have checked all the obvious places.
Thus far I've checked the valve clearances which seem to be fine 0.10 mm inlet and 0.20 mm exhaust.
From cold it seems to start and run fine for a few seconds before the smoke starts.
I've had a search of the forums to find something similar but wasn't able to find anything. Any advice much appreciated.
Regards,
Rob
