say you geared your kart at 19 / 68, thats about an average gear ratio right? so say youre driving along, revving at 5,800 rpm, youd be travelling about 54 mph. It doesnt matter about weight, or drag, the top speed is just ratios.
The big foot would indeed improve your aerodynamic efficiency, but really no more than a few hundreths, because all the air it moves out of the way for you, would travel round the side of it, and still be draggin on you, your engines etc...
also in acceleration terms, 2 kilos is normally equal to about a tenth a lap.
so if youve got a bit of an overhang on your jeans, and you want to get rid of it pretty sharpish, get yourself into a long distance relationship, and the pounds will drop off!
im slightly drunk, but thats all the advice i can offer... hope it helps, ferd :)
