Correct me if im wrong...
What is the actual advantage of driving the entire race by your self?
When getting fueled you get out the kart, push the kart out the fuel bay and start the engines, jump in then away you go to the stop box.
If your driving with another person you get out the kart while getting fueled up, Push the kart out the fuel bay, start the engines while the other driver changes lead (which i can ashure you does not take 10 seconds!) then they jump in and away they go to the stop box.
Now wheres the big time advantage? providing the Team members dont stop for a catch up there is non that i can see?
At Tuesdays meeting I went from 1st to 4th from having to sign a piece of paper 3 times throughout the race(as was mentioned in the drivers briefing)Which in total lost me 45seconds+ .
How does being a single driver give an advantage of 45+ seconds (1 lap). It gives no advantage at all from what I can see and a team have a bonus of a fresh driver so there is no need for such a rule!
Again correct me if im wrong but that is my view on it.
On a diffrent note, the race was excellent and the driving standards where high. Everyone was nice and friendly so I really enjoyed it for my first time there despite the melting of my high vis top resulting in a 4th pitstop.
Couldnt of asked for a better kart for the race it was spot on so quick thanks to Adam lea at kart-tec kart shop for running me and Rob at 7kart for providing the chassis. Looks like the mk4 7kart got the 2 fastest laps of the race which is definatly something considering the amount of Ms's within the grid.
Cheers Michael kew/RPM/Kart-tec/7Kart Mk4
