Graeme,
My suggestion would be to allow both Dunlop and Bridgestone slicks to be used for the entire season and choose one wet tyre perhaps Dunlop KT3's.
Allowing Dunlop slicks for 3 meetings will only move the D day 3 months into the season with the possibility that many could race up to this date then call it a day.
I believe there were quite a few racers from other clubs who had not realised that Bridgestone tyres were permitted last season and if they had known then they would have raced....
Allowing both Dunlop & Bridgestone slicks in my view reduces the tyre budget required to compete in the full season as using solely Bridgestones will require a higher budget than Dunlops as my findings are similar to Jeff's (JCC) in an earlier post.
From testing & racing Grant found pace wise that Bridgestone tyres were very similar to Dunlop although a different setup was run. Therefore from this racers from other clubs can participate at their usual pace utilising Bridgestone Slicks and the regular racers can choose to use either depending on their own findings.
