SAP, Teesside Karting organised and ran a 24 hour endurance race in the Isle of Man just 3 weeks ago. This had a field that included GX 200's, GX160's and hire karts and it ran without any major problems. The gap between the leading 2 karts after 24 hours was 2 laps with 1,450 laps completed, a lap taking over 51 seconds.
It comes as no surprise to me that the previously "fast" teams are still fast on the sealed engines and it would also appear that the midfield spread is less than it was.
The 200's are quite a bit faster and I am told that they are more physically tiring to drive.
The engines have been reliable and at 400 + vat are a far more financially attractive proposition than the SP alternatives.
