So the latest update is "David Wilson" called me yesterday saying that the engine he received was a UT1 engine and not a UT2 engine. He didnt request a specific engine spec and considering all the tuning mods he requested there would not have been any UT2 parts left in the engine anyway!! He wanted me to refund him! As soon as i told him that the card used was stolen and that a fraud case was open he quickly made excuses that he was driving and couldnt talk. He then hung up. I called the number back (and have been trying over the last 24hrs) and the phone goes straight to voicemail. Its also a different number than the initial number he gave me. I reported this to Action Fraud and apparently it a known scam, in that they call up to complain about the goods and request a refund but to a different card. Hence i would have 1. Not had the goods, 2. Had to refund the original stolen card and 3. would have done a refund to a different card costing me a further �1040.00!!! He obviously didnt think that i would have been aware that the card was stolen and assumed i would have been stupid enough to refund to a different card. Again, just a word of warning to other kart suppliers and anyone selling out there. This guy has either done his homework and researched the GX160 engine or he is a Kart racer as he knows the difference between UT1 and UT2 engines and ordered a specif tuned engine. Does anyone know a David Wilson who lives or races in the Sunderland Area? Running a modified UT1 engine but with Genuine Honda Debaffled Exhaust and Bored GX200 carb but with standard airfilter? Pass the word on!!!
