There is NO 'context' that can validate the statement :-
"No amount of scientific reports of studies would convince me otherwise."
It is DOUBLY invalid when you haven't even claimed to have read ANY 'scientific reports' or 'studies'! How the HELL can you tell is there is NOT one out there ALREADY that would CONVINCE even YOU!
However, it's MUCH more simple than that! You simply do not want to change YOUR life! You also KNOW that if you READ some of those papers, they MIGHT convince EVEN you and you do NOT want to risk THAT!
So.... you'll play the 'ostrich' and hide your head in the sand!
And there is NO 'CONTEXT' that makes the 'ostrich' approach VALID!
Your 'credibility' would return if you accepted that SOME scientific study/report MIGHT 'persude you' but that, so far, you HAVEN'T READ one that does!
I trust that you can see the 'trap', there!
