Ah I missed this reply!
In an overtaking situation, with the exception of 'weaving' to prevent the oposition from overtaking, quite frankly yes! This IS a NON-CONTACT sport! Punishment is deserved if there is contact, especially if the contact made causes detriment to their opponents race.
That is very much the difference between Lewis vs Kimi, and Massa vs Lewis! The contact! Yes Lewis was VERY lucky NOT to make contact with Kimi, however the fact is that he DIDN'T! Massa DID!
I have a vaigue idea why Kimi wasn't penalised at Monaco, something tells me its the colour of the car he was driving! However I feel that he definatelly SHOULD have been imposed some sort of penalty! Because of his actions Force India and Adrian Sutil were denied their best finish of the season by MILES! That 4th in Monaco would have ment more to those guys than a whole championship would have done to Kimi and Ferrari!
Im glad were bringing this one to an end! I too hold no love for Massa's team, and my opinion of the driver is plumetting by the race (having said that I was impressed how he didn't throw his toys out of the pram after the Ferrari c**k up at Singapore).
Im no Lewis 'through and through' either, however I would rather he took the title than the boys in red! Im no biblicle person either! If there is such a quote as 'I bid this thread farewell', that would be the one I would use!
