I wouldn't be surprised if Richards gets involved - with Subaru pulling out of the WRC you would think he had time n resources he could spend elsewhere, plus his Prodrive HQ is more or less down the road from Honda's and he used to have a big hand in it all when it was BAR
I wonder whether a consortium of buyers would buy out the whole team as is, or wait until the assets were sold and buy just those, forming a new team rather than just rebranding Honda
I'm not so sure about Williams being a "tasty target" as you say - Williams, whilst not the force they once were, seems to be ticking over just fine (unlike Honda who have seen major upheaval over the past few years only to experience failure)
If anything the whole financial situation I'd have thought would help the independent teams such as Williams - they don't rely on car sales for their funding and whilst the economic downturn surely makes it more tricky to find sponsors, they wouldn't have a reason to pull the plug and put hundreds of jobs at risk the way Honda did
