Another cracker from Dave, there.
Perhaps he'd like to explain the WELL documented drop in death rate on the section of the A14 just North of the M11.
In case some of you don't knop the history..... this was a section of road which had a large collection of speed cameras and which had ALREADY shown a significant drop in deaths and serious injuries when THOSE were installed....
However, when they were replaced with (effectively) 16 blocks of SPECS cameras the death rate dropped by EIGHTY THREE PERCENT compraed to the previous year!
Now, the idiots amongst you will BLEAT 'regression to the mean' simply because you DON'T understand what that measn and hope the the REST of us don't EITHER! The pre-existence of the PREVIOUS speed cameras and the pre-existing HUGE DROP in death rate completely ELIMINATES that argument....
So, perhaps you would like to TELL us what it IS that actually managed to CUT the death rate by 83 percent in a SINGLE YEAR if it was NOT the installation of the SPECS system and VASTLY lowered 'peak speeds' on that road.
Or are you going to weakly claim a COINCIDENCE with the fitting of the SPECS? There's not a lot ELSE that you can claim!
