I am reeling here!
First, I DEARLY hope mobilechicane's use of the 'N' word in there was a typo.... please confirm that or else I need to contact Dick and Martin. I am hoping that you meant to type 'bigger'....
However, I simply do NOT comprehend how you feel that such an explanation has ANY relevence to the discussions about THAT piece of road over THAT period!
Perhaps I am being dim so please explain it SLOWLY.... what in GOD'S NAME has ANY of that got to do with a MASSIVE drop in accident numbers which PERFERCTLY coincides with the fitting of the SPECS camera system??
Don't just REPEAT yourselves.... explain EXACTLY what changed between June 2007 and June 2008 that was NOT cuased by the SPECS cameras which made the lorries 'behave' DIFFERENTLY enough to reduce the deaths by THAT amount!
Please note, I want to know WHAT changed to affect the LORRIES in that period that was NOT to do with the Cameras and did NOT affect the REST of the country's roads becasue there was NO (repeat: NO!!!!) similar drop over the REST of the country!!!!
I am simply STUNNED by the suggestion! I can TELL you, the detectors were set ABOVE 70mph which is, by your OWN statements, 14mph ABOVE THE MAXIMUM which such lorries CAN attain!
