Your efforts really are appreciated.
The big problem is that I can no longer test the problem as the Mac displaying the latest example (of it's NON-compatibility) is back in Italy.
However, on April 1st, the client with the earlier Mac returns to my village, I will try (once AGAIN) when they come back and I'll keop you updates. I'll give them a decent interval before I press them, of course...
The problem with your old Packard is hardly a surprise. First... it's a Packard Bell (why, in god's NAME did you buy one of THOSE.. they weren't good even when they were NEW!). Second, if it's old, as you sure it's not USB1 and you are trying to use a USB2 card. Third, which version of the operatiung system and which set of 'revisions' does it use? Fourth, as a Mac man... aren't the greater powers of the PCs beyond your abilities???? (Tee hee!)
