Ok then, lets have this here 'conversation' then. Lets just find out where we're at first....
1. Are we all agreed that some drivers break the speed limits by a long way? E.g. 100mph
2. Are we all agreed that there are some drivers out there that think they can handle a car and are great drivers...but they actually are really s**t. (e.g. Anthony Hamilton)
3. Are we agreed that the risk of injury in a collision greatly increases if you impact at a higher speed?
4. Are we agreed that the sort of people in question2 shouldn't be allowed to go beyond a certain speed due to them not being capable enough to choose a suitable speed themselves?
5. Are we agreed that by letting these dangerous drivers drive at whatever speed they like, they could pose a danger to other users of the road?
6. Are we agreed that we should stop these dangerous drivers from driving at speeds they clearly aren't capable of handling?
7. Are we agreed that the only way to practically enforce this rule is to stop ALL drivers from driving at higher speeds?
8. Are we agreed that these dangerous drivers aren't capable of choosing the correct speed for themselves and therefore need to have the MAXIMUM speed set for them? Thereby limiting the risk of their dangerousness.
9. Are we agreed that to actually make these rules work we'll need to enforce them?
