So.... inquests and penalties after Drink Driving tests should be 'ignored' too...?
Oh dear.... you STILL can't get your head around TWO ideas at once, can you Dan!
Try it the EASY way.... when you have formulated an idea... write it down and then just REPLACE the words:
'speed/speeding/fast/ too fast/ etc.'
.... with the words:
'drink/drink-driving/off-your-face, etc.'
If the statement no longer makes SENSE... then you will know that your ORIGINAL does not, either!
Try these as examples:
* 'Driving too fast does NOT kill!'
that 'translates' to;-
* 'Drink Driving does not kill!'
Try a more comples one:
* 'Speeding is NOT the only cause of road deaths so we shouldn't bother to enforce the laws on it' (I think that's your [and John's] claim, isn't it....)
That translates to:-
* 'Drink Driving is NOT the only cause of road deaths so we shouldn't bother to enforce the laws on it'
If you can 'tick' all four of those statements, you have some CHANCE of winning the discussion..... while you find you are unable to.... then I am afraid.... YOU LOSE!
The only problem seems to be your inability to hold onto those two concepts at the same time.....
You'll get it in the end.... if you try!
