I did indeed say that I was not concerned about someone having a half (a pint of beer) before a race.
Shock horror! Except if you actually know that TRRL tests prior to the current alcohol limit showed that subjects with small amounts of alcohol in their blood actually performed BETTER than when they were totally sober. Why? because in SMALL quantities alcohol is a stimulant.
How do I know? Because unlike itpro, I lived within a mile of TRRL, visited it reasonably often and actually knew some of the researchers.
Itpro is perfectly aware of this - we have discussed it before. So why does he raise it? Could it possibly be that he has no interest in the facts, but would like to make cheap and totally fatuous points?
Itpro is NOT interested in safety, just making cheap points - as you might expect from the politician he is.
