Ohhh...... I get it...... it's wrong to cut 100s of jobs when it brings nothing more than an ENTERTAINMENMT to the few but it's OK to lose HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of jobs when it is to destroy the eco-systems, livelyhood, towns, villages and heritage of our country...

Or do I misundestand you.... the fact that, at the current rate, Formula 1 will price itself out of business in less than 2 years if we DON'T have some curbs on it when we'll be left with ONE team (FIAt) or possibly two (if you include Merc) and that CUTTING the budget will let a greater RANGE of teams who will thus employ MORE people in those teams is a BAD thing?. On the other hand, converting Agriculture to agribusiness and thus reduce the QUALITY of our food is a GOOD thing.... is it?

Nik, although I respect you (as you know) I think you are WRONG on this one! If F1 carries on as it is it will become extinct for the reasons that so many species of Dinosaurs went extinct (before the asteroid!). They became too big for the environment to support them! F1 looks JUST like those dinosaurs!

I do NOT want F1 to die but it will if (sadly) Max doesn't do somethign about it!
