�270 a week buy a HELL of a lot of GOOD food.... so long as you don't waste it on Scratch Cards, Fags and Booze!

And.... for those who don't already know, GOOD food is CHEAPER than JUNK food.

Secondly, I can't confirm or even trace the source of your figures. Can you enlighten us on where you got that figure? Currently, the Median income is quoted as being in the �470 to �500 range.

Thirdly, you seem to be implying that 2/3rd of the population are ABOVE that figure and it would seem reasonable that ther final upper third could afford MUCH more. On that basis, as a rough guess, that would have allowed 1/3rd of Agriculture in the UK to be turned over to producing GOOD food for that final third who CAN (in your view) afford it. So... is that what we SEE? 1/3rd of UK's food production in the BEST quality range? Is it HELL!

Nope.... what we have is an ignorant and LAZY population and service industries who's only aim is to serve those for whom 'ignorance' is the aim! The rise of the ignorant and lazy has been the mark my generation has bequeathed to the world....
