Couldn't agree more. But as Itpro rightly points out, the type of person who thinks not voting is a protest, is probably doing us a favour by not doing so.
Personally I fear for democracy now, not because of Voter apathy, but because of the ridiculous level of influence the media has on the minds of so many people.
And I don't just mean the man in the street, it is sickening the way the party leaders are now trying to make capital from the scandal that never was a scandal. The PM especially, he has received more subsided living than anyone else during the life of the Labour government, by virtue of the fact that he first had Number 11 and now Number 10 provided for him, as is right and proper. But to come out preaching about the others who have paid for flats and houses etc. is hypocrisy.
