think ur giving 4x4s a rough time here...weve got a freelander, and need it....go to scotland regulary, tow a horsebox and my kart trailer so we do need it, and cant afford a second car....in terms of gas guzzlers, its a few 4x4s that give the majority a bad name, yes range rovers, x5's, discoverys are crap mpg, but only as crap as your m5's, jags and mercs....cars like freelanders and vitaras do the same mpg as normal cars....

...lets put it like this...i dont hear people complaining abput mpv's, they have the same mpg, are the same size as 4x4s but dont have 4 wheel drive....

i remember seeing statistics a while back of mpg of cars, think it was the top 100 worst, excluding supercars, there wasnt a 4x4 in the top 20
