FIAt have been given special permission to modify their engines.....

Remember, these are the engines that are BANNED from being modified to stpp teams making 'extreme' engines.

Of course, NO ONE could suggest that FIAt made their engines 'on the limit' with the FULL knowledge that THEY, of all teams, WOULD get permission to modify their engines if they turned out to have been 'optimistic' in their design.......

We do know that Virgin have been given special permission to modify their chassis....... except.... they are not exactly expected to be vying with FIAt for race WINS, are they?

I WONDER what will happen if McLaren have 'problems' with their chassis/engine.......?
