There's a SINGLE meeting for the TT. There are ONLY a limited number of racers AT the meeting. It's ONE meeting PER YEAR. And they lose a rider EVERY TIME THEY RUN THE MEETING
You are comparing that to Karting which occurs at (what) HUNDREDS of tracks throughout Europe, attended by TENS of THOUSANDS of Karters, and they occur FIFTY TWO TIMES PER YEAR...... PLUS all the corporate stuff and practice dayus...and you have quotyed the figures (wrongly, I believe) for the WHOLE OF EUROPE! Can't you see they are NOT of the same SCALE as the TT. The chances of being killed karting are LOW... the chances of being killed at the TT are VERY high!
Ok... let's test YOU......
If (for example) we lost AT LEAST ONE karter each year at the TKM festival at Whilton and we lost THREE OR FOUR SPECTATORS as WELL..... EVERY DAMNED YEAR........
... wouldn't YOU be calling for a CHANGE in safety?
Wouldn't YOU be saying.... 'if you can't make Whilton safe, then we'll HAVE to BAN it'?
The REST of us would!
(I am away from my PC until Monday, now! I thus CANNOT reply)
