Hi chaps, My first post on these forums. I've been riding sportsbikes for over 30 years, and now I'm the proud owner of my dream bike - Ducati 996. My riding is restricted to sunny days, purely for pleasure - less now that we bought an MX5 recently. Last weekend was lovely weather, so the missus and I went for a jaunt round the Yorkshire Dales in the MX5 with the hood appropriately stored in the down position. I'm increasingly horrified at the antics of a few of my 2-wheeled brethren, and I'm reluctantly beginning to think that powerful sportsbikes piloted by brainless twerps have no place on our public roads. I'm a die-hard biker who will defend our rights to my last breath, but I'm finding it harder and harder to defend the minority who treat public roads as racetracks and fellow road users as a minor inconvenience. Maybe I'm just getting old and grumpy.
