Do you not think that someone taking a degree course in whatever, should have some level of common sense?
I delivered and installed a complete computer/scanner/printer set of equipment to a law student.
It was all setup and shown to be working fine.
Three days later we receive a serious complaint from the university following a complaint from the student, that the eqipment had broken down and was no good and should be exchanged.
The very difficult conversation with the student that followed, and I won't bore you with the full 15 mins, resulted in us having to send someone to the site to confirm that her wall sockets didn't work.
The fact that they couldn't understand that when we asked them to plug a known good object, videre licet a table lamp from another room, which then failed to illuminate, they still couldn't grasp the understanding that the wall sockets had no electricity whatsoever and the equipment wasn't duff!
And they are studying LAW. God help us.
This by no means an isolated case.
They get a brand new laptop paid for by you, and lose it the same day by just walking away and leaving it on the table and then demanding another one under warranty!
Shelf fillers.
