Just because you cannot see the depth of perception and the layers unrolling like an onion in these works doesn't mean it isn't there.

Take the Cellophane and Lipstick.

It summarises all human life. Is it a big, filled diaper still containing the blood of birth, or the filmy and exciting packaging of childhood, or a representation of teenage years, the discovery of sophistication and sex but obscured by the constraints of civilisation, or the great bowl of adulthood, pregnant with hope and opportunity or is it the diaper of old age, redolent with the filmy memories of the past, or the shroud of death and the sadness of all those who loved one? All that in a simple,homogenous form, with warm, human colours dragged from the skip of rejection.

See, there is more of humanity's condition locked into that work than you first thought. Honestly now, once it's been explained, can't you see the quality, the imagination, the effort that's gone into such work.

That isn't just Bovine Outflow, it's M&S Bovine Outflow.
