One of the biggest things we've lost I think is the hour qualifying sessions. Having stood at the track today and watched Qualifying, it's even worse than it is on TV, totally stop start and boring when the cars only do one run in Q3!
But for heavens sake, F1 is only as much a business and entertainment as it has been for the past 20 years, people keep banging on like it's something new. It is still a sport, and as much as we like to moan about things we don't like about it, we all still tune in to watch it on a Sunday afternoon so it must be doing something right!
I for one love the rule changes, seeing what some of the finest engineers in the world come up with to exploit loopholes in regulations is one of the fascinating aspects of the sport for me IMO.
