Thanks Rich, but I'd already read that.... look closely..... it repeats the same thing again and again and that causes the page to be un-follow-able.

However.....

The program as called Mythbusters. Therefore, I went to look for the 'Myth' they claim to be busting. I searched about 50 sites and they ALL mention that the plane is moving FORWARD on the treadmill at the SAME speed that the treadmill is moving BACKWARD. I can't find one that says 'the same speed compared to the AIR'.... it's thus a reference to the TREADMILL, not the AIR.

There ARE some sites (usually 'physics' sites which) which mention the the treadmill speed but allow the plane to have FORWARD motion compared to the ground.... but only to show how DAFT that question would be!

Being fair to imbeciles, THEY are assuming that dragging the runway BACKWARD would drag the AIR backward at the same speed. We know it won't..... but.... Thye way to bust THAT one would be on the deck of an Aircraft Carrier

Is there ANYONE with an IQ over 70 that would think moving the runway/C.Belt would affect the take off speed????........ Obviously, Paul does but we already know his I.Q..

I have had enough fun laughing at Paul for now so I'll leave him alone..... unless he wants to say something daft again!
