Bikes ...tricky.
So little need go wrong that in a car would see you walk away.
I have an opinion on this, and that is the riders are crazy fools! Some fool hardy, some are real personalities but ultimately the race is dangerous.
As a youngster I believed motorsport was about the danger and the risk of dancing close to the edge. Those who died at the wheel were my heros but as you grow up, experience accidents in racing and have a family of your own you realise that it is plain stupidty. I cried the day young Henry Surtess passed away. I watched that lad play football and have so much fun with his father in karts. So sorely missed!
Anyhow..
The TT is an historic meeting so should not be banned but it should join the other famous road races around the world in becoming an exhibition meeting. Speeds should be kept down and it should be a day to celebrate the TT and remember those who lost their lives on the mountain.
My Son is never having a motorbike!
