My father in law feels the decision was a travesty, the blind skier or the 40 year old woman long distance champion should have won it and I maybe agree. But by the fact that I can't recall either of their names says it all - a award as to who is the most popular or most in the media / peoples minds eye. But they don't title it sports PERSON of the year, it's sports PERSONALITY of the year. My FIL doesn't accept F! as an actual sport - they sit on their ar*e and drive round the same track loads of times and the one with the best car and team win!! I also tend to agree with most of that also, but counter with - look at Rosberg's face as he was driving round with the clear visor - dripping sweat, getting shaken constantly, G force etc for 2 hours, surely if an F1 driver was not as fit as a track athlete the would not make the grade?? As for dedication, what about the hours and hours and hours of track time from cadets through to F1??
