Dynamax..... it's simple...... you should be able to get it if I explain it simply:-

If you don't pay a sensible wage (of the scale they could get elsewhere for the level of work_) then you'll ONLY MPs you will get:-

1) The very RICH who can afford get a joke salary for the 'work'....as they have enough from elsewhere! Remember that is EXACTLY how it was until we raised the salaries of MPs. You just got 'toffs'!

2) The mad (because they won't notice the joke salary)

3) The staggeringly useless.... who could not get ANY job elsewhere if they weren't MPs!

When was the last (for example) great and successful football team who paid �74,000 pa for players???

Who the F*** would be stupid enough to stand as an MP if the pay was an utter joke...... like now!

You are getting EXACTLY the quality that you are willing to pay! You (and the rest of the public) want 'Rolls Royce' MPs but you expect to get it while paying 'Trabant' wages! I reality, you are getting 'skateboard' MPs...... EXACTLY as good as you'll get for �74k.

I think the modern saying is..... wake up and smell the coffee! Whatever THAT means
