did post on here that i was going very "green" for a few months

every bulb that can be replaced with green ones has been, both tv stations have one switch that kills all power to the tv, sky, dvd, games consoles, phone chargers have a kill switch

net affect

saved money but not the world

just got last bill, measured usage not cost, we are using twice as much as 16 years ago (when going through paperwork for new daughter found all the bills from that 1st year in the same house)

gas is about the same but electric has doubled

quick look around the house, cordless phone v bt cord style, instead of just video under tv now have sky box, games console (2)plus wifi router, one tower pc, one laptop, one net book, 2 tvs, psp charger, phone charger, mp3 player, digi cam...........not even gone into baby monitors, toys etc

simple fact, for every device you make more energy "green" it will be offset by another new device thats needs power
