Ian... I understand that you are an elected representative.
Let me ask you this question then: As an elected representative ought you not to be "representing" the will and wishes of those who elected you, to be gathering the electorate's wishes, concerns and desires and influence those above you to implement those policies which REPRESENT?
Instead I couldn't help noticing that you already have an AGENDA which you're fighting tooth and nail to influence and IMPOSE on your electorate!
I would have thought more appropriate your attitude as an elected official to be LISTENING, measuring and reporting rather than arguing with points that you personally don't agree with!
But what am I kidding, your attitude is typical of all politicians at whatever level, pretend to listen until you're elected, and again when in need of re-election. In between do whatever he/she BELIEVES to be right, rather than respect the wishes of those he promised to serve!!!
