Or the Safe Speed debate? That's been all the same.

In the mean time the "local government in S-Wales have already started to implement the reduction to 50mph!
The M4 has now been set to 50mph from The Coldra J23, to Tredegar House J28. And the explanation: On grounds of safety!

It's been OK for 30-odd years, all of a sudden it isn't! There are major roadworks from Tredegar House J28 to J30 where the carriegeway is being enlarged to 3 lanes, but on the J23-J28 they didn't put temporary signs but permanent ones with repeaters. You know what's going to happen next, they'll leave them there AFTER the temporary road works are going to be finished!

That is the way our government works: Leak a proposal through the media to "test the water", if it hits opposition they implement the measures by stealth untill they can bring a Bill out and pretend: "it's been tested and found OK for months"!

Bring on the elections! Bordon Grown get the *uc* out of our lives and take your opportunist spongers with you at the same time!
