Fact is the probability of Gillet (is he a relative of the fella at Liverpool - LOL!) getting it done in 1, 2 or more years was never on the cards. We all knew it, he did, Ecclestone kew it etc.
While I would not want to lose the British Grand Prix from the calendar I really do hope BRDC/Hill do not let Ecclestone hold a gun to their heads and play the sentimental card. This is a classic who is going to blink first and Ecclestone will turn round and say it was all Silverstone's fault if it doesn't go ahead.
I agree about Gillet - too much tan, too much talk and what's left - a building site where once was a decent track with events to stage.
An absolute disgrace and one I think possibly and cleverly engineered!
