no your correct, schumacher is definately worsde than alonso.to me they both have that utterly ruthless streak
i seem to remember ron dennis only making that "alonso beating us" statement later in the season,AFTER he tried to force dennis into making him number 1 and to my mind, some of the things that alonso did would only ever alienate him with the team
i just dont get the idea that mclaren would get a world champion into their car and from the outset, deliberately favour their rookie, unproven driver.why would you do that?
lets be clear,if hamilton hadnt cut the mustard in F1 and i think there are many cases of promising junior drivers not quite making the grade in F1)then he wouldnt have lasted long!
now i can see a situation where both drivers are given equal treatment which may well have changed when alonso made his threats half way through the season and i can see mclaren then(and only then)working for the rest of the season knowing only one driver would be racing with them next year and the rookie was the equal of the champ
by the way.i agree with you on senna/prost.sennas retaliation is understandable but as you say, completely bonkers and two wrongs dont make a right
