I really can't see why everyone is so surprised at the result. Like I say if you compare their performance to the other three games it was actually better, more effort and better chances on goal.
If England were going to scrape through today then everything needed to be perfect and the tactics were not and the defence wasn't. But you can't fault them for effort, they ran to the whistle and I wouldn't have blamed them if they gave up at 4-1 down but they didn't they kept going.
Cappello needs to go though, who on earth would bring Heskey on?
Mel your final comment is true 'fact is, they simply are`nt good enough' but I knew that after the second game but everyone else seems to have not noticed how bad those first two games were.
I personally can't see any managers doing a better job though, they are all hopeless, god help us if Stuart Pearce gets the chance.
