Sorry for the late reply. I was called away to do some work.

Your post was an excellent and comprehensive piece of writing.........But what does it all mean?

To me it shows the limitations of human ability to reason. To others it possibly shows how intelligent we are.

I don't think these apparent contradictions come about because we are intelligent enough to understand the nuances, but because we lack the intelligence needed to understand them.

This is the reason why I normally don't join in the frequent discussions on here about young drivers insurance. I think the arguments are moot. But as I've somehow ended up in it here, I will make a suggestion.

Scrap the law requiring third party insurance. If you want to insure yourself against the actions of others then buy it, just like your other insurances.

Perhaps I've missed something. But at the moment it makes sense to me.
