im sure the team did order him in and it was a case of first come first served. then the conditions changed again. and so they split the stategy.

whether button would have done his own thing we will never know but he did as the team wanted.

he did question the decision to pit early for the primes but he followed the teams decision and later praised it.

so, you cant have it both ways.

well done to mclaren. whatever happened they were getting a win.

i like your parallel with canada

it is interesting to read the bbc site: "I'm always lucky with these conditions. You are not always going to make the right call in these conditions but I feel I'm pretty good at making the right call when it comes to tyre choices - but I'm not the only one." JB
