I'm not wanting to get into who was at fault it was, my point was purely that he lost a massive points gain for not having the sense to race smart. That said I don't agree that Hamilton wasn't partly to blame. If you look at the slow mo replay you can see that the drivers were side by side throughout the entry to the corner. Maldo was more than half a cars length along side at the time of leaving the track. Hamilton left no lane for Maldo and was forced off. Yes Maldo perhaps should have braked and re joined behind him but he didn't. He got up on the curb and you can actually hear him straddled on the curb wheel spinning. I've also called him a donkey because he gave up the opportunity to finish on the podium! Racing incident for me. Yes you can say supported by the stewards but these are the same stewards who penalised Senna!
I'm a great believer of leaving this "lane" for others to race in if you're along side. It happens in NASCAR all the time. If you're not clear you just can't expect to drive someone off the track.
Anyway I had �2 on Alonso and won a bucket load :)
