Wise words from Brian. I don't wish to bring up the debate about the miners again but in the areas where the pits closed and there were no jobs there would have been those who complained and did nothing about it and spent the rest of their lives poor, bitter and jealous of other peoples success waiting for Maggie to die before they could claim to be happy.
Then there would have been those that didn't like what had happened but took the choice to do something about it and get on with their lives in a different job, business, place, country in order to achieve their personal goals.
The same is happening today. There are those that are claiming it's the worst recession ever, there are no jobs, they are in businesses pretty much waiting for something to happen.
Then there are those that are just getting on with it, keeping their heads down, working hard, growing their businesses, evolving to the market conditions, moving to another country to get a decent job etc. The people who take the positive approach will be the ones who end up with a happier life overall. The ones who take the negative approach will be the same as they are today, bitter, jealous and the only happiness they will have is when they see somebody else fail.
There is always a gap in the market to make money, even in the bad times.
Chris.
