Doesn't surprise me, Maclaren haven't performed well at all under Whitmarsh and you have to suspect that he is a major part of the problem. It surprised me Ron allowed it to get this far, a few more poor seasons would not be good at all.
This article seems to think that Ross will be brought into the job next month.

Would definately be a good move, Mercedes is too bloated and I don't think Ross had the space to make an impact. I think he has a lot to give and doesn't get the respect he deserves in the sport. At the end of the day he has worked for Ron before so he knows what he would be letting himself in for.
